Flash Back Friday- Star Road

On the top of my list of things to do on my most recent trip to Japan was Star Road. Star Road is a small workshop situated In Tokyo, Japan. Don't let the "small" part fool you, there is A LOT to see there. With every square inch filled with cars, you're guaranteed to see all the classic Japanese cars like the iconic Hakosuka, the almighty Kenmeri, his four door brother the Yonmeri as well as Shoji's prized Blue Devil Z (S30 Fairlady).

A Second Chance at Life

As most the wheels I buy and collect are from the 70's and 80's many of them are in pretty poor condition. 30 odd years of use and neglect leave them rusted, dull, dirty, has the paint fading and flaking off. But with some TLC and a lot of time, there is hope to give them a second chance and bring them back to their once glorious condition.

Take these SSR MkIIs I restored a little while ago. They were in pretty good shape compared to most wheels I buy but defiantly still needed some work.

Natsukashi Wheels! The First Post!

I started this blog to share my passion of nostalgic Japanese wheels, Old School cars and everything in between. Ill basically use this as a photo dump for any cool wheels, car, parts I stumble across, but who doesn't love looking at rare classic car related photos?

Ill kick the blog off with some random photos to showcase what you can expect to see here in the future =)

Happy reading!

So this is my addiction. Wheels, old, shiny, classic wheels!

We all have dream cars right? Most of which are well out of our price range. Whether it be a GT-R Hakosuka, a Kenmeri or a 2000GT we'd all love them in our garage! Well how about on display on a desk or shelf? These customized 1/18 scale models can be picked up for a few hundred dollars and look just as good as the real thing.... Only.. smaller.

Throughout this blog ill chuck up a fair few old brochure and magazine scans. Like the one above which shows the SSR Super Star Racing I and III! (one and three piece respectively) I just love seeing those old adverts, just makes me wish I as around back then when these now very rare wheels were available new, right off the shelf in almost any size you could want! Would save me many many hours trolling through the auctions to find them! Also makes me wonder where most these wheels have ended up. I mean sure they pop up from time to time, but some of the more crazy sizes are almost never seen! Have they been destroyed, thrown out, or are they hiding away being hoarded in someones workshop or garage? Guess we will never know.

Anyways that's some example of what you can expect to see in this blog, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates =)
